Recently the Spectrum team were contacted by a residential development in Pimlico.
We were tasked with replacing the entire legacy analogue CCTV system with a new high definition IP CCTV system utilising fixed cameras throughout, including numerous 12.0 megapixel 360o fisheye cameras for the lower ground level car park in particular, using the existing cable infrastructure. This we achieved in good time and in budget. It even included ground works including the supply and erection of a new camera pole (including a concrete base of the correct dimensions), digging a trench and laying in a new cable duct, painting the new camera pole to the client’s preferred colour and then raking and re-seeding the ground that we had previously dug up for the trenching!
Part of the project was to fit two new 32 channel high definition network video recorders (NVRs) to operate with the new cameras. Each of these NVRs also had a dedicated 32" monitor. When we tried to place the new monitors on the desk in the gate house, it became clear that the desk was going to get too cluttered. The gatehouse being almost fully glazed, we needed to come up with an innovative solution for mounting the monitors elsewhere. Using lengths of Unistrut to clamp around a structural steel post and then bolting the monitor mounting brackets to the Unistrut we managed to remove the monitors from the desk and present them as shown in the picture.
