Installing HikVision in Pimlico
Recently some of our Spectrum team have been working at a private development in Pimlico updating their CCTV security system. The project involved replacing their car park cameras with 360 degree CCTV, which was a huge improvement on the large, obtrusive cameras they had previously been using.
The upgrade also involved replacing an old style legacy analogue box camera and lens in an external housing and an infrared illuminator with a bullet style 4.0 megapixel fixed external camera with built-in lens and infrared illuminating LEDS.
Below is the more obvious and obstructive camera. Wiring was messy, and the inefficiency of the system was becoming inconvenient and unsafe.
With the wiring protected and neat and the smaller, high-end HikVision DS-2CD2643G0--IZS installed, the system is far more reliable, with an intuitive back-end system ensuring the CCTV footage is available when the staff require it.
